FAQ
-Where is the studio?
The studio is located at 35 Impasse du Puisat, 73240 St-Genix-les-Villages, France
-Is the studio open to the public? Can I come record right now?
No, the studio is not a commercial space open to just anyone at any time. It’s my private residence, and if you show up unannounced, you might either get poked with a pitchfork or attacked by one of my many battle-ready frogs.
-Is parking available at the studio?
You can unload your gear right in front of the studio, but parking there is not yet possible. However, there is a parking lot just a few steps away that we will point out before you arrive.
-What are the working hours?
Usually, we start with coffee at 9 AM and wrap up by 7 PM at the latest.
-How much does it cost?
Every project is different and requires a good understanding of its scope to provide an estimate. The price depends on the number of recording days needed, the number of tracks, and the complexity of the instrumentation.
Please contact us with details about your project to get an estimate.
-How far in advance should I book?
The earlier, the better — especially for large projects and those involving recording. It’s easier to find a day or two on short notice than to get a two-week slot. The studio can sometimes be fully booked six months in advance, but occasionally a few days open up within a few weeks.
-Can I sleep at the studio?
Unfortunately, overnight stays are not allowed. However, there are many affordable Airbnbs nearby.
-Can I eat at the studio?
Absolutely! There’s a fully equipped kitchen where you can warm up or prepare your lunch.
-Can I get a mix trial?
Yes, we can provide a one-minute sample of a track, delivered as an MP3. Keep in mind that mixing is a collaborative process — don’t expect perfection on the first try. It often takes several rounds to reach the optimal result.
-How many mix revisions are included?
There’s currently no limit on revisions, but please don’t abuse this — and be as precise as possible in your feedback to keep the process smooth.
-Can I take photos and film in the studio?
Not only is it allowed, it’s strongly encouraged! In the age of social media, documenting your artistic journey is essential, and the studio is a big part of that story worth showcasing.
