RECORDING - MIXING - MASTERING

THE STUDIO
Located in St-Genix-les-Villages, in the Savoyard foothills of France, immerse yourself in this cabin-like atmosphere to bring out the best in yourself. Operating since 2015, RedBeard Studios is the place where your music can truly shine.
From metal to jazz, pop rock to medieval music, nothing scares us and everything excites us. We handle it all: recording, mixing, mastering, even additional arrangement.
Everything’s possible. Nothing’s out of reach.
A studio by a musician, for musicians.

SERVICES

RECORDING
It's the foundation of any great production. Beyond matching the right microphone to the right source, it's about guiding the musician through their performance and capturing the best interpretation in service of the music.

MIXING
This is where the cooking begins — once all the ingredients are prepped and ready to come together. To create a high-quality dish, you need high-quality ingredients. That’s why it’s so important to take the time to capture great takes.

MASTERING
The cherry on top — the final polishing phase and unifying the sound. But it’s more than that: mastering is about making your music commercially ready, meeting all the technical requirements before it goes to pressing or hits streaming platforms.
Every project is unique and deserves the utmost attention — which is why it’s difficult to offer a fixed price. The workload for a metal band and an acoustic duo will naturally differ.

ABOUT
“A studio by a musician, for musicians” — that’s the motto of RedBeard Studios and its captain, Rob Carson.
With over 15 years spent touring across the world — from dingy dive bars to the biggest metal festivals — whether on stage or behind the console, Rob stands out not just for his technical precision and musical instinct, but for his deep understanding of what happens after you leave the studio.
RedBeard Studios also offers the insight and support of someone who lives the daily reality of being in a band — someone who knows the struggles with labels, booking agents, the hell of promotion, and the harsh realities of today’s live music scene and the modern music industry.
